Eliminating fluoride from the water would help some. Fluoride leaches lead from pipes according to some studies. Check out http://www.fluoridealert.org or just search fluoride and lead. PubMed has studies. There are mixed theories about fluoride and lower IQ’s in children but IF fluoride does in fact leach lead out of pipes over time it is the lead exposure what can cause lower IQ’s. Now, I wonder how long it will take for Evanston to privatize its water works for the benefit of a bunch of multi-national corporations?
