Jim Dey: "Here’s one statistic that will get readers’ attention: Gasoline sold for $1.54 a gallon in April 2020, shortly after the first pandemic lockdowns went into effect. By July 2022, the average price in the Midwest for a gallon of gasoline was $4.88. For diesel, it was $5.75."
Just bought gas yesterday for $3.24 in Wisconsin. Saved more money that the postponement of the 2 cent tax increase. Lots of Illinois plates buying gas in Beloit-Janesville and sales tax is 5.5% as a bonus.
Got gas today, Beloit near Walmart, $3.24.9. 10 gallons, saved $4.50 over Illinois price.

The day after the November 2020 election gas at the stations near me was $1.74.9 for regular unleaded. 3 months later under the astute leadership of the new so called president, gas was over $3.00 a gallon. The democrats in action.

The other twofer was filling up their tank at under $2 per gallon.

Well you can thank a Dem if you miss the old days when you fill up without a Benjamin.
The next shoe to fall will be the absence of consumer goods. Kinda like the USSR circa 1975.
