As for gender neutral language, English has made it nearly 2,000 years from the first Runic symbols of Old Saxon, through to Chaucer’s Middle English to about the 1960’s with no one, no one complaining about gender neutral language. Heck, gendered language goes back all the way to the first written Indo—European language, Hittite, and it’s basis, the reconstructed proto-language iPIE (Porto Indo-European) was also a gendered language.
