Donald Craven, of the Illinois Press Association: "And there’s much to be said about the access a resident or reporter has to a public official once the meeting has concluded. They’re in the room. In a virtual meeting, the 'leave' button is an escape hatch for any public official who wishes to have no further conversation."
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
It’s really no different from the game in Washington, hide! The more accessible they become the more likely they’ll be exposed.
