Progressive/ Leftists want to cancel Liberals, Libertarians, and Conservatives. And who is allowing and supporting this totalitarian effort – The coastal ‘elites’. But who really are the enablers? I’m looking at you ‘Karen’, as you tsk-tsk your neighbors in the suburbs for not wearing a mask in their yard.

Absolutely correct! The elites are in charge, but it is the virtue signalling wannabes who enable them.

There are “new Twitter “, “new Facebook “, “new YouTube ” etcetera platforms developing on blockchain.
Not only are these difficult to censor at input phase (being decentralized autonomous organizations by design), they are unscrubbable.
All it takes to defeat censorship is to achieve a critical mass of non-participation in censored platforms.

(Blockchain social media platforms tend to pass-through ad revenue almost entirely to content producers and ad viewers How will old-economy censored platforms compete with that participation incentive model?)

Progressives are extremely dangerous, and the apparent darlings of the media. Any law that the Progressives disagree with can be ignored, and violence is authorized. The liberal media concurs. The only good news is that the Democrats are hardly united, and with Trump out of the way, the Progressives will now turn on members of their own party. Moderate Dems aren’t going to stand aside willingly and risk their own survival. This country isn’t ready for socialism just yet, and Dementia Joe doesn’t have what it takes to hold his party together. Enjoy the show.

Often Progressives censor more than Conservatives. Exhibit A: Fred Klonsky Blog, Mike Klonsky Blog and Capitol Fax.

But the old timers were classic liberals. These modern leftists are an entirely different breed — nasty scolds with a mental illness bent on controlling every aspect of humanity. I don’t think it’s the same “left”. These people are the figurative goose steppers who would just as soon as annihilate anyone who disagrees with them. They are dangerously out of touch with their own humanity and everyone else’s. I honestly don’t know how they got that way, but a good chunk of the nation is in bad need of an intervention. The old liberals at least wanted and believed in… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
