Much of the routine trade and investment between China and America is entirely appropriate and in America’s interest. But inserting the Chinese Communist Party into America’s pay-to-play system and its economic development strategy isn’t just crossing a line. It’s a leap into an abyss of stupidity.
Haha, why are property taxes and ALL taxes so high in Taxistan?
One party rule by corrupt Dems and total control of the state by Illinois public sector unions.
Illinoisans, the sooner you vote with your feet and leave this fiscal black hole of a state the larger your bank account will be!!
Overspending, mismanagement of funds, pensions and unions. WTF. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out
Well, when multi-billionaires like the governor, rip out the toilets from one of their spare mansions, someone else has to pay it.
Daaa…..government keeps spending more money than they currently have?
How about grappling over bloated social services? How about a tussle over bloated city staffs/ departments that pay handsomely and come with over the moon pensions? Violence interruptors? Guaranteed Income? Free abortions on demand, even if from another state? Any of those money pits ring a bell, fellas?
Argument’s should only be about what to cut!
Kathi and Haynes try to use various excuses about assessments. The bottom line, however, is that municipal entities demand a certain amount of revenue yearly coming from property taxes. The question is, who pays-residential or commercial? With businesses moving out and lots of empty commercial space and commercial property values sinking, the burden shifts to residential. Add to that, inefficiencies and favorite political influences, the revenue has to come from somewhere, and that is homeowners. Can homeowners see through the smokescreen?
