A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
“Health system officials have said that bad debt is mainly related to patients who would have qualified for charity care but did not complete the required paperwork.” This is a level of sloth that is absurd. Our taxes will rise steeply because a bunch of people are so lazy and ungrateful that they can’t even fill out paperwork that pays the hospital and its employees FOR them?
