Chief among the county’s hurdles would be the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution. According to the protocol, before Cook County prosecutors could charge a federal officer, they would first have to overcome a claim of Supremacy Clause immunity — a high bar that requires the state to prove the officer was not performing an act authorized by federal law, or that the officer did more than what was “necessary and proper.”
I’m betting that Eileen lives in a nice house with lots of extra rooms, so the big question is “How many illegals does she have living in her house?”

Somebody got to “Come On” Eileen O’Neill Burke. Probably Illinois’ dimwit political animal AG Kwame. She started out well, cleaning up the mess left by the even-more-dimwitted-than-Kwame un-prosecutor Kim Foxx. Come On Eileen has abandoned reason for a Kwame-like quixotic go at Federal Law. If anything, she should send a message that violently attacking law enforcement isn’t tolerated as is the case in better run states such as Florida.
Good thing Crook County has tons of cash to throw at these partisan suits just like the rest of Kwameland does.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
