"Lawyers across the state are all scratching their heads wondering how the new system is going to work and keep people safe."

Here’s the bottom line. 101 counties in this state could vehemently protest this new so called law and their protests will fall on deaf democrat ears. Cook County/Chicago is all that counts. Where is crime and violence out of control to the max? Cook/County Chicago. This out of control crime is mostly perpetrated by one particular ethnic group and the politicians who control the statehouse from Cook/County/Chicago cannot let their voters suffer from criminal prosecution, no matter the crime. Few in Cook County or Chicago want this law either. It was passed because after St. George Floyd’s OD, our progressive legislature vowed to pass every law on the Black Caucus wish list. This was one of the laws. It’s pure craziness.

Rockford in Winnebago County comes close. There are many shootings here mostly on the west side but the east side close to the river has it’s share.
