CTA driver, passenger rescue 14 residents from burning South Shore homes – Chicago Sun-Times

Chicago police said no injuries were reported in the fires, which broke out around 2 a.m. in the 8000 block of South South Shore Drive. Bus driver Anastasios Adamopoulos 63, who lives in South Shore, pulled the bus over when he saw the flames and jumped off along with a passenger. Together they ran to the homes and alerted residents.
