Wirepoints President Ted Dabrowski wonders if Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s understands the depths of the damage he’s doing to Illinois with his COVID-19 edicts. “Through the pandemic, I think it has been an even more destructive government. Illinois government has again shown itself not to be a good partner for small business.”

When the Democrat controlled legislature and courts said it was just fine for the Governor to have unlimited emergency powers as long as he saw fit, that was the end of it all. It is unconstitutional and unwarranted, but Democrats and the Governor do not care.

There’s no courts in Illinois it’s turned into a one man show and any and all laws will never apply again.

Maybe we are wrong to assume he doesn’t understand or care that he is destroying small businesses. Maybe that is exactly what they are trying to accomplish.

When Nixon as VP visited Russia, he was making small talk with the Russia leader Khrushchev, and mentioned that his own father was a small business grocer. The Russian leader responded that all shop owners were thieves. The Russians thought of shop owners this way because they owned capital, stole the labor of the worker and cheated their customers. JB too agrees that shopkeepers aka small business owners are thieves, but for different reasons. JB views the shopkeeper’s money as being stolen from his Oligarch class.
