A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board. That means schools like Manley High School, with capacity for more than 1,000 students but enrollment of just 78, can’t be closed for anther three years. The school spends $45,000 per student, but just 2.4% of students read at grade level.
Hopefully, all media will get the message, in Illinois, too.

Pritzker does not understand the definition of ====TRANSPARENCY
When the Democrat controlled legislature and courts said it was just fine for the Governor to have unlimited emergency powers as long as he saw fit, that was the end of it all. It is unconstitutional and unwarranted, but Democrats and the Governor do not care.
There’s no courts in Illinois it’s turned into a one man show and any and all laws will never apply again.
Maybe we are wrong to assume he doesn’t understand or care that he is destroying small businesses. Maybe that is exactly what they are trying to accomplish.
When Nixon as VP visited Russia, he was making small talk with the Russia leader Khrushchev, and mentioned that his own father was a small business grocer. The Russian leader responded that all shop owners were thieves. The Russians thought of shop owners this way because they owned capital, stole the labor of the worker and cheated their customers. The Dictator and his ilk don’t believe in a free market economy to begin with. Covid is their chance to abolish the free market and impose the centrally planned economy they’ve always wanted
