Durbin pushing through historic diversity on federal bench – Chicago Sun-Times

“I’m not taking anything away from white male former prosecutors, but that was generally the category of individuals who were appointed to the federal judiciary in the past,” U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said. And while many of those judges showed “no prejudice in the courtroom as far as I’m concerned, we felt that people who walked into our U.S. federal courtrooms should see, sitting on the bench, the diversity our country."

“I’m not taking anything away from white male former prosecutors…” Geez. Uh, yeah you are, Dick. You’re taking away their opportunity to work as a judge because…..wait for it…. They’re white. The official position of the US Senate is that is that former white prosecutors need not apply for federal judgeships. Just think about that for a second how totally racist that is.

Unfortunately, no one is in the position to sit back with a beer and a bucket of popcorn to watch the mayhem unfold, because the mayhem will visit us in our homes.

Let’s see… choosing people for jobs based first and foremost on their immutable characteristics… where have we seen that go wrong before?

A key member of the Illinois political CIG club: corruption; incompetence; and greed. Plus letting Illinois politicians, after what they have done to this state, hold significant national US political power, is nuts.

These aren’t just diverse judges – these are woke judges. A generation of woke judges, reinterpreting law in the wokest manner they sit fit, without regard for any regard for the millennia of tradition that is the basis of our laws, will surely destroy the judiciary as we know it. They look at the past 1,000 years of law as structurally and systemically racist, and they’re just going to trample all over it in favor of some new ‘woke’ laws that they themselves make up as they go along. Say good-bye to individual rights and freedoms; say hello to collectivism,… Read more »
