Editorial: And who, exactly, would be paying for a Soldier Field dome? – Chicago Tribune*

"But there’s no downside to Lori Lightfoot and her crew making a Hail Mary to keep the team within city limits, as long as they don’t use the taxpayers’ money as part of their less-than-dignified seduction. The task force’s report implies that the dome could potentially be funded by corporate sponsors. Perhaps."

Another deep question from the Trib. The editorial board specifically asked Lori. She winked and said the Easter Bunny. Harump Harump. Wow!

Bears leave, Soldier Field turned into giant, year round marijuana growing operation run by a Pritzger relative. The profits will be huge, no loan repayments, rent free and everybody who makes a ton of money will be happy. Check line 17 of your property tax bill to see how much fun you are having.

In a normal place, public funding to enrich a private business would be immediately rejected.

But in crooked and corrupt Illinois this kind of looting of public funds gets pushed through, so long as all the insider creeps get their cut.
