"But as often happens in Springfield, the devil is in the details. And as more emerges, we’re learning that the governor’s (budget) proposal could shift additional financial pressure onto local governments, leaving municipal leaders with a familiar set of choices: raise taxes, cut services or both."
“… leaving municipal leaders with a familiar set of choices: raise taxes, cut services or both.”
Don’t forget that fourth choice: reduce bloat. Then, you won’t need to raise taxes or cut services, and you get the good feeling of reducing taxpayer abuse.
From Bloat Reduction 101, bloat components include the following:
too many offices to provide the services too many people to perform a given function people drawing full-time salaries without working full-time salaries excessively high compared to the requirements of the jobs too generous benefits, especially compared to the private sector

JB the Hutt manages Illinois as if the state had offshore trust funds like he does. He simply treats local funding like said offshore trust funds. The Hutt has zero business acumen.

J.B.Pritzker is overdosing on power Pritzker reminds me of an addict he will stop at nothing to secure what he wants it’s about him and his high ambitions and he is a dangerous person. He is not a honorable man and stretching the word man is comical.

Obviously JB Pritzker has absolutely no role in running any Hyatt Hotel. If he did they would be bankrupt by now.
The Hutt’s clan encouraged JB the Hutt to ‘go into politics’ just to give him something to do and get him far away from the ostensibly for-profit business that the Hyatt conglomerate is. The Hutt ha zero business acumen and even less of a work ethic.

JB needs to hide his additional 20% state budget increase for the planned 3rd term, that will make a 60% increase is state budget in his 3 terms. That should go well for his run for president, the highest taxes and largest debt of ANY state in the union!
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
