"Neither CTU nor (CPS CEO PEdro) Martinez are acknowledging the obvious need for rightsizing a school system that has seen its budget increase 30 percent since 2019 while enrollment has fallen about 10 percent during that time frame. A serious governmental response would couple minimally needed revenue to get through the immediate budget crisis with demands for a plan in the near future to address the bloat."
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Everything that CTU does is a money grab. They aren’t teachers. They are parasitic thieves.
Similar story I read about in Sugar Grove. The Crown Group owned by a wealthy family is getting TIF money to build numerous projects. Over 700 acres of productive farmland was deemed “Blighted” so that TIF money can be transferred to the company. The taxing bodies including the school district is concerned that money will be diverted from them to special interest groups.
