Evanston investigating firefighters’ Trump mask photo – Evanston RoundTable

Evanston city code states that “no employee while on compensated time shall intentionally: Use any City property or resources in connection with any campaign or political activity,” and that “No political activity may take place on any City property or at any City Ward Meeting.” What’s unclear, though, is how the city defines “political activity,” and if wearing a Trump mask rises to the level of engaging in a political activity.

I hope Evanstan fires all these firemen and any other firefighters they suspect of having conservatives leanings. Evanstan can replace them with totally woke, diverse and DEI fightfighters with little to no experience instead. We all know what happens when fire departments go woke because we are seeing the results over the several weeks in Los Angeles: the city burns to the ground. Evanstan will get exactly what they what.
