Feds investigating Pritzker EPA for approving new scrap shredder on Chicago’s heavily polluted Southeast Side – Chicago Tribune*

Lawyers for Southeast Side community groups petitioned for federal intervention, accusing city agencies and the Illinois EPA of colluding with developers to concentrate polluting industries in a corner of the city where residential yards already are contaminated by heavy metals and toxic chemicals.

Isn’t the intent to place this next to the new Obama Library?

You know, all of the crap intended for show in that building will just go to the shredder next door?

More pollution in one central location. The Obama Library and a junk yard next door all seems to match up just fine.
