Five years after legalization, what’s next for Illinois’ marijuana market? – WCIA (Champaign)

State Rep. La Shawn Ford wants to see the state give social equity license holders a different avenue for profiting. “We need to make sure that if a dispensary owner wants to sell one of their licenses,” Ford said. “They should be able to sell one of their licenses because using the money to from the sale of a license can help them open up.”

Here’s a thought LA Shawn,

You sponsor a bill to give illegals a $300 per month pot voucher good only at equity licensed dispensaries.

You’d be helping your current base and you’ll be getting in the good graces of your future base.

If they purchase edibles that’s a good thing too. You could sponsor a bill to allow the Department of Agriculture to pay for them on EBT/SNAP cards.
