Illinois first banned texting while driving in 2010, according to the press release, and banned the use of cell phones while driving in 2014, requiring drivers to get hands-free devices. Motorists would be permitted to participate in conference calls, but only if they use hands-free devices and if the video function is turned off.
Is this a real thing? In the last few years, I can’t think of one time I was on a video call with someone who was driving. So I guess I support this, but can’t believe its a major problem…

A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
