Illinois is the Only State in the Nation that requires a FOID (Firearm Owner’s ID) card. IL also requires a Concealed Carry card. Naturally the 2 mentioned have to be vetted and Approved by the Illinois State Police. It is illegal to have a “switch” to make a firearm Fully Automatic. You cannot purchase ammunition without a FOID Card in IL. Guessing that the shooter is a Convicted Felon, so it’s Illegal for him to possess a firearm. Thank you NRA and the Second Amendment for the right of citizens to legally and lawfully own firearms to protect themselves from criminals that don’t follow any of the hundreds of “ feel good “ laws that the Dems pass to restrict gun ownership . To my knowledge, the NRA organization and the Second Amendment have yet to personally pick up a firearm and harm one single person.

Automatic weapons have been banned in the USA since 1934 and they have been outlawed in Illinois for as long as anyone can remember. Yet this shooter has one. Apparently, he didn’t read the law that says he couldn’t have one. In fact, I would bet a lot of money that this guy would not be allowed to even buy a musket based on his presumed arrest record.
