Around 5 p.m., an event supporting Israel was taking place in the 3400 block of Touhy Avenue when about 200 protestors showed up in support of Palestine, police said.
We have replaced the Daily Mail column originally linked to this post because it incorrectly says the man shot into the crowd. He in fact shot into the air, police say.

That shooter is a prime candidate to stay on the streets thanks to the Safe-T-Act
I was there to watch at the Palestinian counter-protest. This would have been far worse had the police not done a great job separating the pro-Palistinian protesters from the Israeli attendees. Most of the Palestinians seemed clearly intent on provoking violence, and having their protest there, in Skokie, across from the Jewish event, was a clear provocation in itself. The sanitized reports in Chicago media on this that I have seen so far do not capture what I saw.
Yeah, and don’t you just love it that for a “reliable source” about this and so many other local “happenings” you have to consult a ***UK*** news outlet, lol…
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.

See above comment about the corrected post.
