House Speaker Michael Madigan: ‘I have no plans to resign’ after polling Democrats to gauge support amid ComEd bribery scandal – Chicago Tribune

“I understand that the last couple of weeks have been difficult for our caucus and party, and I have had many candid conversations with members of the Democratic caucus on this matter. The feedback is positive and demonstrates continued support for me and my leadership roles,” Madigan said in a statement issued Thursday night.

Saw on the news today that Lashawn Ford supports him because He trust’s him on his word and he’s going to advance a black agenda. In other words $$$$ for Lashawn Ford. How easily these politicians sell their souls.

Madigan knows whatever happens he’s ok as RINO Lausch will never convict him as he’s gone as soon as senile Biden and his BLM approved black vp are elected, god forbid. RINO Lausch waited too long.

Let me ask you something… Did Hitler have plans to resign 1944?…. No, he did not. He was fully committed and had to see it through. Had Hitler resigned, he would have been killed anyway, ether by his own people or the invading armies. The same is true here… There is not resignation for this IL politician. If he gives up power, those around him will turn on Mr. Madigan as the entirety of the cabal spirals for its own survival, with many going to prison. When you play games at this level you have to shoot the moon consistently… Read more »

Can he be committed? By that I mean if he has an underlying health condition such as dementia or any mental condition that makes him unfit for office he could and should be forced to step down and seek treatment. Can he prove that all his wheeling and dealing benefited everyone in Illinois not just a select few? From a modern technology point of view how can someone who claims not to use cell phones or computers be fit and also be up to date with information to run Illinois in the 21st century unless there is something to hide?… Read more »

I don’t know about that Freddy, look at what the Democratic Party is trying to put in as president. Nobody can convince me otherwise that there isn’t something wrong with Biden, his VP selection better be taken seriously because I think 2 weeks into office or so his VP will be in charge of the United States because of health issues. If it’s Duckworth, I’ll reserve my novel for now.

Why should Americans trust any politicians

Everyone doing the review and evaluation of his behavior is in his pocket. Except the Feds. This needs to continue to be an outside action, because once it becomes something the Illinois government or prosecutor needs to be involved…the corruption starts again. Keep the feds focused on this and take it to federal court, if it stays in Illinois, this schmuck isn’t going anywhere. He gain another $500K this week in “contributions”…no, no there is no corruption in Illinois…sheesh.

Your optimism is admirable but if the worst criminal political scandal in perhaps the country’s history (Russiagate) hasn’t shown you how useless the Feds are for holding powerful and deeply corrupt Democrat politicians to account, then you have more to learn.

True power only lies with the people. Unfortunately in IL there are too few people that recognize these human scum for what they are and hold them to account the only legal way possible by voting them out of existence.

“Russiagate” ? Another fantasy of the left. Muellers investigation found ZERO evidence of collusion but yet you and the left babble on about this ….just hilarious. the only Russiagate was by Hillary and the Dems and their fake dossier and fantasy pursuit of a duly elected President.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
