A few dozen police officers on bicycles followed alongside protesters as they marched through the streets, and city vehicles blocked access to most bridges across the Chicago River from the Loop to River North. There were also rolling closures on Michigan Avenue in both directions between Randolph and Ontario streets.

These protesters, and the city’s encouragement of the protests, just gives me and my family another reason to avoid downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. Likely will not go there this summer. Who wants to be gridlocked for 3 hours in your car when the leftists and union members take over the streets?

Streets are for cars. Blocking the public way and denying people progress are both against the law. Start enforcing it and quit letting illegals, their fan club and paid protesters disrupt everyone else’s lives. Enough already.
Prefer they rename the group the “Illinois Coalition for Legal Immigration and Legal Refugee Rights”.
