IDES Applies for Additional Federal Unemployment Aid; Officials Express ‘Grave Concerns’ – NBC5 (Chicago)

“President Trump’s program will likely cut off the most vulnerable workers, create needless competition among states for these limited FEMA dollars, and sow more confusion among the unemployed,” Gov. J.B. Pritzker said. “I want to caution that those eligible for these dollars will likely encounter frustration and unfairness brought on by the president’s short-sighted and short-lived program.”

So Pritzker, on what basis are you blaming the federal government for not having enough money in a State funded and administered program? Before the Wuhan virus the US had three years of economic boom and a prior three years of an OK economy. So, during the nine years since the Great Recession why wasnt the State of Illinois replenishing the IDES unemployment funding?

And you turn around and blame the federal government for Illinois financial idiocy? Disgusting.

Yet again adding to the list as long as Godzilla’s arm of Prigster LIES that the destruction he has wrought to the IL economy and people’s livelihoods is SOMEONE ELSE’S fault.

Do we have Idiocy beyond compare or Projection beyond the pale – ?

Uh and for sure the internal IDES spiraling failures this year belong to a perpetrator outside the state as well…

Speaking with my friends they know what keeping ones freedoms really mean, and why they are taking a stand now after what… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
