Today’s news is filled with the horror stories of criminals committing heinous crimes after being released in no cash bail jurisdictions; and yet Illinois’s politicians live in this HuffPo/Vox bubble where the overwhelming evidence that cash bail works is just completely ignored in favor of the false narrative of ‘equity’.
