Illinois bill would set goals for vastly expanded passenger service – TrainsPro

The Passenger Rail Planning Act was introduced in January by state Reps. Rita Mayfield (D-Waukegan) and Kam Buckner (D-Chicago). It does not include funding for expanded service or infrastructure, but seeks to define the plan for more frequent operations.

OK, kids. Illinois is flat broke and Kammer knows this, but he won’t let that minor detail get in the way of maybe securing another great big pile of confiscated taxpayer funds for his pals to skim. Anyway…my operations planning might be a little rusty here, so please bear with me. Let’s look at a single route that political animal Kammer wants to run hourly service on: Chicago to Kansas City. Great breakdown of running a rail line.
i found myself humming the old tune that
my grandfather hummed, “ On the old Milwaukee
Road”, he was an oiler on the Road.
