Back in the day, I couldn’t so much as pick up the tab when lunching with DOT people, lest this give the impression that I was attempting to influence their decision-making process. A Democratic lawmaker in Virginia has introduced a bill that would ban the state from verifying a non-profits’s ability to provide and receive federal taxpayer benefits.
The bill states:
“No state agency responsible for the administration of federal funds shall impose a requirement on a nonprofit charitable organization providing a federal benefit to determine, verify, or otherwise require proof of eligibility of any applicant for such benefits.”
Count the minutes until a Democrat lawmaker in Illinois copies this bill word for word…
No taxpayer funds should be used for political non profits. They can fundraise from their supporters
