Gates always has an excuse for her overpaid, underperforming employee base, her tax delinquencies, her children attending better schools, etc. She and the Dalton mayor too busy chasing stardom to be of any use to the public at large.

We have no Illinois Educational System,
The whole thing is a joke, children are not educated they move along grade to grade,
Through 12th and move along into college
Where many do not obtain a four year degree paid for by the taxpayers.

Lol. Agreed. School Districts are simply expensive Day-care, Food Service and Transportation organizations. That is their focus. Teaching is secondary.

When ever there is a strike or some other interruption of school, the headline isn’t classes or the loss in education for the students…it is the teachers issues and then parents have to figure out the day care situation and what to do with the kid for the day.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
