The Pediatric Palliative Care Bill, which has passed the Illinois General Assembly and is on Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s desk, provides a pediatric-focused reimbursement structure so that healthcare providers can recommend palliative services to parents and guardians, knowing that the families will not have to incur additional costs.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
