The Illinois Pork Producers Association estimates it will cost $3,500 per sow to upgrade infrastructure to become Prop 12 compliant, a cost they warn would be passed onto the consumer. “One area is dictating how farmers produce the products that they raise in another part of the country and that can cause a lot of concern over a patchwork of different regulations that our farmers have to adhere to,” said Tasha Bunting of the Illinois Farm Bureau.

Being that the largest pork producer in the world, Smithfield Packing Company, is Chinese owned certainly California will be able to work something out. Marxists can be like two peas in a pod at times
Simple. Don’t sell to California. Once La La Land’s pork prices rise to stratospheric levels then build one facility for that market only if you choose. Otherwise to hell with them.
Sin a couple of years, or less, the only thing Governor Gruesome will allow as a food product will be yummy insects and tofu goodies.

Factory farming is a scourge, for sure, but is necessary to feed the tens of millions of new illegal immigrants a daily rationing of pork and other proteins.
Leftists never really think these things through. Like why is grocery store food so expensive? Oh that’s right, there are 10,000,000 more people in the last two years competing with you to buy the same food at the grocery store, that’s why!
