Outstanding, then teach the truth. Americans didn’t bring slaves to America, as America wasn’t a country when slaves arrived and there was a profession called “Slave Traders” which still exists today. Republicans fought for and free slaves and Democrats lynched them…. Further, if born in America, the person is American not a hyphenated race, legal immigrants that becomes Americans are hyphenated.

Tax freedom day for Americans this year is April 16th. In Illinois it is December 31st at 11:59 pm and starts all over at 12:00 am Jan 1st and all this governor thinks about is another state (payed) holiday and metrics. He should consider drinking some Metrecal and lose a few.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
