Illinois House approves ban on junk fees, Pritzker’s abortion fund proposal – Capitol News IL

The House on Thursday voted along party lines 69-36 to pass a bill that would create a grant fund to cover abortion care for uninsured and underinsured people. House Bill 5408, another of Gov. JB Pritzker’s initiatives, would utilize an under-used provision of the Affordable Care Act that requires insurance plans that offer coverage for abortions in instances that go beyond rape, incest and the life of the mother to collect at least $1 a month from enrollees to cover the cost of abortion claims.

Good thing Illinois has extra piles of confiscated taxpayer cash around to wheelbarrow into this new pile of skim funds devoted to baby murder.

i assume you are not a christian then because the bible is chock full of examples of a god commanding or causing the death of children-including the global flood where countless babies were intenionally drown and also sending bears to maul chuildren to death for mocking a bald man.

Rep. Bob Morgan (D) sponsor of the junk fee bill stated “The price that you see should be the price that you pay” which sounds pretty reasonable all in all. Now, following Morgan’s logic, what about the Chicago hotel room tax? This exorbitant tax should be put out front and center not hidden until someone checks out of the hotel and is faced with that tax. Better yet make it a statewide requirement that all lodging establishments be required to disclose real room rates and not be allowed to hide the taxes imposed by the Illinois’ governmental system…it’s the fair… Read more »
