We need more subsidies from the IL taxpayers to change that 0 for 18 to a Dimaggio-type streak!

I think the bigger picture with Illinois Amendment 1is it was originally intended to apply to public and private sec workers and was in reality cooked up by national dem/labor unions to serve as test run for other blue states to follow and was very much supposed to go hand-in-hand with Bidden admins- PRO ACT (which narrowly didn’t pass–thanks to Manchin/ Sinama) to create some kind of workers union paradise fantasy world with endless fed covid/MMT /QE $bucks. Number of half-empty Chicago public schools doubles, yet lawmakers want to extend school closing moratorium – Wirepoints

A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board.
