Illinois lawmakers file bill to repeal ‘Trust Act,’ require police to work with ICE – USA Today

Already in this session, multiple repeal bills for the Act have been filed that have been referred to the Rules Committee. Senate Bill 1313 would rather require state law enforcement agencies to cooperate with ICE, “ensuring undocumented immigrants charged with or convicted of a felony are identified, reported, and deported."

But the politicians are protecting “their people” with the “Trust Act” just like they have done with the “Safe-T Act” [sarcasm]. Why would anyone want the police to work with another law enforcement agency to put bad guys in jail and keep people safe? Silly!!!!!!

Filed by Republicans? Will die in committee. You must understand, Democrats in Illinois don’t want bipartisanship. Bipartisanship and working with Republicans, no matter how much it is common sense, is considered treasonous working with the enemy, so the bill dies.

Oh, man! Durbin will blubber incomprehensible nonsense, Duckbill will take her legs off and roll around on the floor and all the Underwoods, etc. will be ready with the Hitler/SS comparisons quicker than they’ve ever done anything in their political careers.

Referred to the rules committee, unfortunately that’s were they will die Welch will see to that under the orders of Madigan. The only way unfortunately things will change is that if one of these politicians or family members become a victim of crime related to the Trust Act nothing, absolutely nothing will change we are the pawns for them like everything else in this state.
