Illinois lawmakers roll out $55B budget plan as Bears stadium talks back to square one on final day of session – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

A legislative draft of the tax proposals wasn’t released Saturday night. But buried inside the 3,551-page document were 3.2 percent cost-of-living increases for the 177 members of the General Assembly, boosting their base salaries to $101,450 — breaking six figures for the first time. Salaries for the governor, other statewide elected officials, and the heads of state agencies also would increase by about 3.2 percent, though Gov. JB Pritzker does not take a salary.

Hello, Indiana!

And buried within the document was a provision to screw the IL taxpayer without a post act cigarette, a mint on the pillow or money for cab fare on the night stand. Keep voting blue, idiots! Your local legislator appreciates it while you struggle.

Here comes another Democrat “Pass it before you see it” scam. And why would anyone be surprised that City Dems are balking at any program that helps the Bears leave the City. No Chicago legislator in his right mind would go for that. And Arlington Heights aint any better than Indiana on that point.

It is so amazing that the people of this state continue to elect these f-ing crooks. In a bill that was intended to somehow help them do large projects in the state…they steal more money from the tax payer by burying a salary increase for themselves. It is absurd…but then again…it is Illinois the home of corruption and grifting.
