I’m an old single guy who gets most all my vittles from Wal-Mart, I order online for delivery. I recently compared my current grocery receipts to 2019 – early 2020, and most prices have at least *doubled*; I buy the cheap WM house brand stuff, rarely brand names. Example: thought I’d make that cozy “budget” dish beef stew, but the cheapest stew meat is TEN bucks for a 1.25 lb package!
