Illinois open-burn bill ignites capitol clash – Center Square

House Bill 4459, sponsored by State Rep. Amy “Murri” Briel, would let counties and townships in unincorporated areas adopt permit rules for certain open burns. Republican lawmakers are warning the bill is vague, punitive, and unfairly targets rural residents, while the Democratic sponsor says critics are mischaracterizing her intent.

If the rednecks want to burn leaves ( something a lot of us have fond memories of ) or do a controlled burn ( as park districts do occasionally ) let’s get back to them. When Antifa/BLM activists want to burn down, say Minneapolis for example, well that’s a ok!

We’re pushing for EV’s to protect the environment, but allowing open burn policies that would hurt the environment. WTF is going on ? Is it me ?
