Senate Bill 2981 would create the Illinois Climate Change Superfund, financed by payments from entities the state deems responsible for climate change. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency would determine liability, set payment amounts, and direct spending. “How do you calculate that?” state Rep. Chris Miller asked. “This is legally risky and raises constitutional questions. All it’s going to do is enrich lawyers through litigation after litigation.”
The Illinois Trial Lawyers Association PAC has funneled over $1 million exclusively to Democratic candidates and committees since 2022. The Illinois Trial Lawyers Association also provided roughly $1.85 million in a single quarter to the campaign funds of House Speaker Chris Welch and Senate President Don Harmon. The Illinois Trials Lawyers Association are also the primary financiers for the Illinois Supreme Court, with records showing approximately 56% of total funds raised for individual candidates in two key races. The record shows all their funding is overwhelmingly directed toward Democrats.
Any questions?

First it needs to be proven that the climate
is changing due to the actions of man.
Which of course can’t be done .
Who do Illinois’ political animals think pays these tithes to the Religion of Climate?
Hint: It’s not the companies providing heretical products necessary for everyday life.

Companies that have not yet moved out of state deserve what they get. If they have been paying attention, they would have moved by now. The ones left are either asleep or in agreement with what goes on there. As such, they deserve this.

Just when you think IL democrats couldn’t get stupider….
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
