A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

So the state wants to subsidize striking workers with money from Illinois tax payers…and Illinois politicians wonder why businesses are leaving the state?
If you can collect unemployment for voluntarily withholding your labor, then everyone would be eligible all the time.
The point of the strike is that you are foregoing pay today for more pay tomorrow. That’s the risk.
So State workers, Teachers and municipal employees can go on strike to demand more money and get paid while they are doing it. Gotta love it as only Illinois can do it (almost spit my morning coffee out laughing so hard)

Is this really the states business? So…does this mean that employers will be supporting striking employees based on their paying unemployment taxes? Is the state considering having employees pay unemployment taxes as well?
… more incentives for public union workers not to work. This is Illinois, aka bizarro world.

That will bring them back to work. Paying them.so they can stay out longer and companies ,who can easily move to other states ,won’t have leverage will just leave. Owning a company in Illinois isn’t cheap.
Sure! Why not? Let’s give everyone that walks off the job money they should be getting from a contracted strike fund . All about redistributing that wealth. Your wealth, not theirs.
