How soon we forget that Brady receives compensation from the video gambling interests in Illinois and his controversial offer of an appointment “to sit on the Joint Commission on Ethics and Lobbying Reform in exchange for muting his criticism of Brady’s side gig working to promote video gaming terminals in bars.”
Capitolfax, like the publication or not, has a pretty good write up on it all.

What good person stands a chance in Illinois? With rigged elections and absurd gerrymandering, forget it – waste of $$$ and time.

He’s RINO scum like Dillard, Edgar, and Loris bff RINO Beverly Democrat John Lausch who is too gutless to indict democrats like Madigan, cullerton,,Rahm, the Daley’s, Steve Berlin, Joe Ferguson anyone on the black caucus or others. He only indicted Burke to take Daley, Preckwinkle and Mendoza our to help Lori.

He should have been governor when he ran against Quinn who won a total of 3 counties in the whole state. Quinn won by 15,000 votes after gathering almost a million more votes than Brady in Cook County. Quinn announced that he had a achieved a “mandate ” from the people of Illinois.

“Quinn won by 15,000 votes after gathering almost a million more votes than Brady in Cook County. ” Knowing what we know now, I no longer believe any vote count in a heavily Democrat precinct is legitimate. Democrats seem to always win statewide elections after Cook County reports its results late into the night. They got brazen about it with JB in 2018. Rauner lost only 100kish votes statewide but JB somehow, in a mid-term election year, managed to get 400,000 more votes than Quinn in Cook County alone, and another 400,000 throughout the rest of the heavily D areas… Read more »

Elections in this state and apparently in our country are a joke. The likes of Jimmy Carter, Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson, Sharpton, Robert Kennedy and more are proud to go to other countries to make sure their elections are fair. They should just stay in the USA.

Not that it wasn’t stolen but Brady mailed in that campaign. He was nowhere to be seen the last month of the campaign.

Well, reading his wiki he really does seem to be pretty conservative, on pensions, abortion, taxes, education, budgeting, etc. Maybe he’s just fed up, or realizes its hopeless like most conservatives here do. I’m not gonna say he’s got the feds after him, I don’t know that. At some point I’d get fed up too. Who knows why he’s leaving.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
