Illinois taxpayers to pay for climate education mandates – Center Square

House Bill 4895 gives the Illinois State Board of Education the directive to create professional development resources for educators to best teach climate change coursework. State Rep. Dan Ugaste  said he thinks the legislature is starting to impose too much of what they believe the educators should be teaching Illinois children.

They should teach “Climate Adaptation”. Climate always had changed for thousands of years and people and building designs should reflect the ever changing weather patterns. Many reasons for this are volcanoes-sun activity/etc. If you build next to a river or ocean at sea level expect to get flooded.

I tell my son that climate change is fake and I have to deprogram him from the nonsense he learns in school. I explain that only Joe Biden voting lib*ards believe in ‘climate change’ and its the same as the rest of the nonsense Joe voting libt*ards belive.

If you have school age children, you might as well home school them at this point. All they are going to learn in Illinois schools is the woke agenda alphabet and climate change gibberish.

Ideology of the Democrat cult. Why not require students to wear masks during the indoctrination session?

Nothing like a bunch of non- educator public officials, some of dubious intelligence when you consider some of the mandates they propose and pass, telling schools what they need to focus on. Climate change in- math out. CRT in- reading comprehension out. LGBQTXYZ agenda in- writing out. There are only so many hours in a school day and no wiggle room for half- baked ideas, theories and concepts.

This.

This is why the smarter children from wealthier schools can kind of read, because their parents help them read at home. But the children in struggling and middle class districts need more time learning to read, they need to spend 2x as much time learning to read as the well-performing kids, but the schools spend so little time reading, and so much time on climate change nonsense.

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.
