Illinois teachers union calls on Gov. Pritzker to close school buildings again due to COVID-19 surge – Bloomington Pantagraph

Dan Montgomery, president of the Illinois Federation of Teachers said, "There are plenty of superintendents and school boards that would like to call it, but they’re worried about the public’s reaction. I think the majority of people want to do what’s right, and having clear metrics can be an inducement.”

While their at it might as well close down all the nursing homes where almost 50% of Covid deaths occurred and then close hospitals and clinics so doctors and nurses won’t get sick from Covid.
Politicians already have closed themselves down by avoiding the veto session but they still get paid.
P.S. Close down the treasurers and assessors office in each town so we don’t have to pay property tax anymore for services we don’t get anyway.

Close the buildings, lay off the janitors and assorted maintenance people and have the students enroll at Chegg.com for their education. provides that a college or high school student, you can join Chegg for free and pay no monthly subscription fee. You’ll also be treated to a free 30-minute one-to-one session with a live tutor. Once you are a user, you can rent books and search for textbook answers. Another great site for Mathematical studies is at mathnasium.com. There are many others and with this in mind, lay off the teachers as well.
