“They (the young people of Illinois) didn’t create this pension mess. Those of us with a little gray in our hair did.”

So, this guy is saying that continually raising and creating taxes will take care of the pension mess. My google search showed that he graduated from Yale. Yikes.

Yes, once again, whatever you do, don’t go after by far and away the biggest reason IL has so much debt: lavish salaries, pensions, and health care benefits. Instead, keep raising taxes or creating new ones. You have to love these IL Democrats; they’re so famous for rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
