In Chicago, Some Businesses Report Pandemic-Era Drop in Sales Amid Immigration Raids – WTTW (Chicago)

Little Village, a neighborhood with a predominantly Latino population, generates nearly $900 million a year in business. However, business owners are now reporting losses in sales of between 50-70 percent since the start of escalated federal immigration operations. “I feel that it’s the pandemic one more time,” one restaurant owner said. “The only difference is that back then, there was support from the government.”

They are missing the cash only transactions. The government grifter money has dried up and if they had any common sense, they would have known it was too good to be true and that it would shortly come to an end. The blithering idiot we had as our 46th president, that the Dems all rallied around, did an incredible amount of damage in 4 years.

Government does not care about private sector business. If you want to get rich pretend to work for the public sector and be in a union. Retire early and enjoy a large pension with benefits on the next generation of taxpayers.

I guess that illustrates just how many illegals are in Chicago and that Little Village area. I hope they are packing to leave or working on getting their immigration status officially corrected.

I like the way the “ whistle blowers “ that come streaming out of their houses and follow ICE around all day are advocating for “ their people “, apparently in lieu of working for a living. If they are “ your people “ , I guess you are illegally in the country also.

When you cater to the illegal population , you shouldn’t expect sympathy from the citizens. When you count on customers using government funding for your profits, your business should fail.
