The ISBE is a horrible joke being played, deliberately and without remorse, on the citizenry of Illinois. Like the tens of thousands who have preceded me, I will leave Illinois ASAP. Illinois is a bankrupt failure in every way. Just count me as one of hundreds of thousands of law abiding tax payers who find Illinois unlivable. If things are going well, why does Illinois have more residents leaving than any other state? Unfortunately, parents can’t trust the ISBE and frankly, they have done it to themselves. Reading the redlined version of the change in language regarding this “new” and “optional” standard does not agree with their response. Of course, they have worked hard to make sure IL kids can’t read, think or do math themselves so they don’t see the issue in trying to pull one over on taxpayers again.

They speak almost 200 different languages. ” Cool. Now let’s all teach them all to ditch the old world, and adjust to the new world. It’s called being an American. It will help them assimilate into the melting pot of America. IBSE’s alternative purposely creates an unequal system with little interaction between various intersectional identities, and the only commonality they share are grievances against native White people. And the school system purposely teaches them this racist belief system. This will create a scary, unrecognizable dystopian future no reasonable person… Read more »
