John Kass: Where Have You Gone Woodward and Bernstein?

"I do remember how upset and panicky the Chicago Tribune newsroom became when I worked there and wrote columns in support of Miranda Devine and The New York Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden, his self-incriminating laptop and the national establishment’s effort to silence reporting about it."

I was a 25 year Chicago Tribune subscriber. When the media, including the Trib, abandoned journalism in service to the Democrat Party (see any of the multitude of Obama puff pieces by Kristi Parsons for specific examples), I sensed that what I was receiving every morning was not news. These were Democrat talking points. You don’t need any gumshoe reporters when the preferred party spoon feeds you your headlines. Stenographers work cheap, don’t question their sources, and are always envious of those who chose careers that actually pay real money. In 2016, the few adults at the Tribune gave in… Read more »

They are still all but blacking out Biden corruption stories. Same for Sun-Times. Today, they finally have one from A.P., which is a Dem puff piece downplaying it.

Railroader, this was exactly my experience. I was a Tribune subscriber for 40 years, and I do miss the old Tribune. In many ways it is similar to the Bud Light saga- in a vain effort to build the brand among new subscribers, they decimated their existing business. Like you, I have received lots of invitations to re-subscribe. Do they really not understand this has nothing to do with offering a “deal” and everything to do with integrity of the product? The lack of self-awareness is unbelievable, but I guess to be expected from people who really believe they can… Read more »

Tribune is just another fake news fraud toilet — they can’t go bankrupt soon enough

John, since you were a Trib insider at one time, how does that rag manage to stay in business? Enquiring minds want to know…

Woodward came from a classified area of the Navy. He had no journalism experience. Nixon knew who killed Kennedy and right after he got impeached he was replaced by a member of the Warren commission, Gerald Ford.
The reason Hunter’s laptop wound up in the repair shop was because his dead brother’s wife threw it in the pool after Hunter got her 12 year old daughter pregnant and she discovered sexting message from him. “Who’s your daddy? Hint: He’s also your uncle”

This is the first alternative explanation I’ve heard why Hunter’s laptop was in the shop in the first place….Just found the green text explaining this….but there is a vid of Hunter telling a lady of the night that the Russians stole his laptop. Which is a likely explanation for some of the crazy stuff he found on that laptop. Most likely, he was told by the FBI to say the Russians stole the laptop, just like they blamed Russian for everytying during the 2016 election. Regardless, Woodward and Berstein were FBI assets, stooges really, political pawns fed information to push… Read more »

The founder of the FBI was Charles Bonaparte. Guess who his great uncle was. These families just never go away.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
