During Tuesday’s hearing, U.S. District Judge Robert Blakey asked prosecutors whether they intended to seek a superseding indictment in the case, which would add more charges and possibly more defendants. Assistant U.S. Attorney Amarjeet Bhachu said that he was “not in a position to indicate to the court” whether that would happen.

They’ll use every excuse they can to delay the trial, and once they run out of legal tactics, they’ll resort to other options. One of the defendants will develop a medical condition that requires treatment that prevents him from attending the trial. That’s always good for a lengthy delay. Anything to keep mealy mouthed Madigan from being held accountable.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
