Jussie Smollett update: Confidential report released on Foxx’s handling of case – FOX32 (Chicago)

Special Prosecutor Dan Webb said that State's Attorney Kim Foxx and her top deputies had notable procedural errors behind the scenes, and false statements to the public, including the assertion that Smollett was treated much the same as defendants in deferred prosecution programs offered by the courts, and that the evidence against the actor was weak.(Full report linked)

But the moron voteers of cook county will keep in her in office! So glad i left cook county last year!

The agency that regulates lawyers is pretty serious. They move slow – it took years to take away Blago’s law license – but it’s a process that doesn’t stop once it’s started. They at least try to give the public perception that they are not political. The special prosecutors referral to the lawyer’s agency puts the laywer regulation agency in a real pickle. They can’t just ignore Kim Foxx’s obvious and proven ethical lapses because it impinges upon the integrity of the profession. Another prosecutor misconduct case that comes to mind is the Duke Lacrosse prosecutor. He was ultimately disbarred and found guilty of contempt of court. One can only hope !
