Kim Foxx’s latest warns why she is dangerous in her final years and should be stopped (but won’t be) – Wirepoints

 By: Mark Glennon*

Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx on Tuesday unilaterally announced that County prosecutors will no longer object to waiving court-ordered fines and fees “when motioned by defense attorneys on behalf of defendants with little-or-no income.”

In plain English and in actual practice, that means just ask and you need not pay fines and fees.

That action alone may or may not be a big deal. We don’t know how much cost will thereby be shifted to county taxpayers. Foxx didn’t say and surely does not care.

The broader lesson is more important: Kim Foxx earlier announced that she won’t seek reelection, giving her two years to do what she wants with no concern about consequences.

And she is dangerous.  For example, she made a point of listing among her accomplishments, in her new press release about fees, that she increased “the non-violent shoplifting felony threshold to $1,000.” That made it open season on retailers to steal up to that threshold. Have no doubt about the mindset of progressives like her. In California, as reported by Newsweek, lawmakers are hoping to push through controversial legislation that would ban retail staff from stopping thieves stealing from their stores.

She has expressed no regret for her attempt to let Jussie Smollett off free, bringing international ridicule on Cook County. In his faked hate crime in Chicago, Smollett happily tried to throw under the bus both the supposed perpetrators, who had been his friends, as well as the entire criminal justice system.

Most importantly, her refusal to prosecute violent crimes has brought the city to its knees.

There’s an obvious solution that the State of Illinois has at hand but refuses to even consider. That’s empowering somebody who believes in the rule of law to prosecute crimes, in addition to or in lieu of the Cook County State’s Attorney. A special office could be created by state legislation to do that, transferring good prosecutors to that office.

Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx

What’s the chance of that happening?

Zero. The ruling majority in the General Assembly, Gov. JB Pritzker, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and Attorney General Kwame Raoul are all Foxx’s enablers, having endorsed her in her elections and never uttering a word of disapproval.

There is no end to the further damage Kim Foxx may inflict on Cook County in her final years.

Memo to Kim Fox: A new idea for you,,

SB 553, authored by Democrat Senator David Cortese (San Jose), requires employers to maintain violent incident logs, provide active shooter and shoplifter training, and to discard policies requiring workers to confront suspected active shopliftersthe Epoch Times reports.

Just trying to help.

Love the dedication of the person plastering newspaper clippings and a message saying Kim Foxx is a “Kio abusing crook” all over the south loop and west side. Makes me smile.

The reason she let’s everyone go is staring us in the face. Foxx rules over all the gangs in Chicago. She is the Borg Queen of gangs.

The black gangs in Chicago are exponentially weaker than they used to be even as recently as a decade or two ago since the major crackdowns. Today’s gangs are no more than several dozen kids and adults, in a particular neighborhood, loosely affiliated within the larger folk vs people distinction when they get to prison. Kim Foxx’s allegiances are purely tribal and are skin color deep. She thinks she’s the savior of the misguided thug who casually associates with the rappers and crews in his neighborhood and commits crimes, carries a gun, deals some drugs, maybe smash and grabs for… Read more »

Sinaloa has the cash to influence and gain preferential treatment from Chicago law enforcement, judges, prosecutors, and many politicians. This is a major city in their hub and spoke operation which is coordinated internationally. I have long felt that many are on the take in Chicago. The only thing about taking the cartels money is that truly is shaking the hand of the devil. Once you take their money they control you 100%. How many kilos are coming in with all these mules coming across the border? How many don’t have $10K and have to pay it back to the… Read more »

I agree. Chicago is a major city in their hub. Some of the so-called socialist aldermen in the hispanic neighborhoods say and do such puzzling things, I often wonder to what extent they’ve been comprised and corrupted. The police seem spend all of their resources chasing down mostly street criminals (murderers, car jackers, muggers, shoplifters, hate-crimes) they hardly seem focused on going after more organized crime. Rarely is there a press release about organized crime and when they do make arrests, it’s usually mopes that look like this for fencing: https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/four-men-charged-fencing-operation/ The cartels are operating out in the open, with… Read more »

Well said and articulated. I think these low IQ folks are really the new soldiers in this information war of all colors and socioeconomic backgrounds. Who is leading them are the NGO Soros affiliated groups, Antifa, and host of younger versions of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. It is a Cloward and Given strategy updated for the modern information and tech economy. Diehard cultists who want to destroy the United States from within. Russia may not look so bad after all when considering they won’t tolerate this happening to their culture. That’s where the destination will end up being for… Read more »

Poland or Hungary is where you should go, if you can get residency. Europe is not very nice about residency to other 1st worlders but they’ll let in as many third-worlders as can fit on the dinghy.

It’s only going to get worse until those who live up there and suffer under the Democratic policies say enough is enough. NASCAR is finding out that crime is a problem now that thieves have targeted the equipment that’s there

Martin Eden

WTF? How is this allowed? How do the prosecutors who work for her abide this? Their legacy will be crime without repercussions… There is blood on their hands… They are the antithesis of American values.

The state of Illinois has long been run by one party and that is significant part of the problem in that there is really no opposition party whatsoever and it’s mostly the same hacks that move between government (after very lucrative pension rewards) and then become lobbyists. She is protected completely by Tony Preckwinkle, Timothy Evans and many powerful players. This is what they wanted and they will reap what they sow. She and her prosecutors are 100% of the problem as this task is completely her responsibility.

Every 4 years all the bootlickers get together in a room with chairs with the names of political offices attached. The music starts, they all walk around, then when it stops whatever chair they sit in is the office they run for in the next election.

Absolutely correct. That’s the “slating” of candidates. Only difference now is that won’t be the Daley’s, Madigan, Burke, Jerry Joyce, et al. It will be Tony Preckwinkle and her crew. I can’t wait to see what Chicago looks like in another 5 years.

St,, Louis got rid of its Soro’s backed DA Kim (Kim Gardner) but not so in Illinois with its Kim mess

Hello, Indiana!

Fairly obvious that this one is going to follow her benefactor Soros’ plans and burn the thing down on her way out of the door. Recall her, impeach her, relieve her of any duties and power asap any way legally possible. She is clearly and with intent not fulfilling the duties she was elected to do.

Here’s a flash mob idea: Every teenager in the city steal $999 from every store in the city this weekend. Might that make news? Might that put pressure on the politicians to put an end to her reign of terror?

Streeterville

Hope Kim likes internet shopping, because at this rate, at $1,000 shoplifting-threshold for arrest, and then no fines or punishment if unfortunately arrested anyways, no corporate retailers will seek to open more new storefronts here, and will continue to shut-down their stores already here. Perhaps Kim wants to help already financially-stretched Chicagoans with in-person shopping-addictions. Without those attractive-nuisance storefront retail businesses, Chicagoans can save their cash for more worthwhile causes, such as new punitive municipal “Johnson” taxes.

Don’t know how neighborhood retail stores can survive in Chicago without other suburban branches to support cash-flow requirements.

It’s the 1970’s all over again. Maybe suburban malls will have a mini-revival if most of Chicago’s retail corridors become blighted.
