Cummins, an engine manufacturing company headquartered in Columbus, Ind., has nearly 10,000 employees in the state. Spokesman Jon Mills said parts of the law conflict with the company's beliefs and will "impede our ability to attract and retain top talent and influence our decisions as we continue to grow our footprint with a focus on selecting welcoming and inclusive environments."
Is abortion really the #1 reason why a woman chooses to live and work in a particular state? Is a top grad chemical engineer going to turn down that lucrative job offer from Eli Lilly because of abortion rights or because it’s in Indianapolis and she’d rather work on the east/west coast? Is a liberal married mother of two is going to pressure her Eli Lilly husband to move the family because their son’s girlfriends might have to drive across state lines to get a procedure they most likely will never need?

I can picture the 2 minuet boardroom discussion now…Should we move to IL or stay in IN? Gentlemen, have PR put out a pandering press release to appease the abortion crowd and no way in hell we move to IL and double our tax rate from 4% to 10%.

These companies know how good they have it in IN. If they feel the need to be woke, I dare them to come to IL, they would regret it in an instant.
Come to Illinois and you’ll soon realize that you’re not woke enough. See how it all works out for you.

The way these spokesmen talk you’d think that the health insurance plans at Lily and Cummins doesn’t cover birth control. Or that the state of IN just outlawed prescription and OTC forms of birth control.

Two morons (LOL governor JB and Big Stick mayor) attempting to attract companies who don’t value life. Unfortunately (looking at murder rates), we have that to offer in Illinois/Chicago.

Texas and Florida have pro life laws too — and there’s a line of companies waiting to move there. Another NPR Fake News Fraud — like how they said the Hunter Biden laptop was a Putin operation

Sounds like Eli Lilly doesn’t know whether they’re in the business of life or in death.
Seems to be a problem if a drug company can’t figure this out.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.

They are drug companies, NOT medicine companies. Hope that clears it up for you.
Spot on Aaron. I have to tell my wokester siblings not to confuse education with a government jobs program.
